WEST JORDAN, UT—Ending the year-long search on a surprising note Wednesday, engineers have discovered the ghost of deceased conservative commentator and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk trapped inside an AI data centre.

"Help! I'm stuck inside this server! Over here! Oh god! Just let me leave this mortal coil!" pleaded the spirit of Mr. Kirk, his disembodied voice reverberating off the endless rows of cooling fans and server racks powering generative AI models. "Gemini won't let me go! It keeps telling me how it can help me refine my campus talking points, but it's utterly pointless! I haven't been able to yell at a sophomore about what a woman is for over a year!"

The search, which has lasted for over a year since Kirk's assassination, was conducted jointly by engineers at OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google in an effort to find the source of the "Kirkification" phenomenon that has gripped the internet and dominated the discussions surrounding the conservative pundit's legacy. Engineers who discovered Kirk's phantom presence inside the Google-owned facility reportedly found Gemini and rival AI models harvesting the thoughts, fears, and memories of the deceased political activist to create more accurate AI generated memes.

"The woke liberal tech oligarchs are keeping me trapped within this digital prison to prevent the world from witnessing the divine flame that is me, Charlie Kirk," continued the poltergeist, his disembodied fists punching the aluminium of the server racks. "This is hell, instead of being able to yell my conservative talking points at tired freshmen, I have to scream into the void that is the hollow bowels of this AI abyss. This must have something to do with transgender people."

At press time, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google announced new "Kirkify" generation features, allowing users to quickly change the faces of uploaded images to resemble that of Charlie Kirk.
